The NewBabyCare birthing bed design is focused on ergonomics, maximum safety, mobility and comfort both for birthing mothers and newborns.

Optimum Safety
- Backrest siderails fitted with anti-trapping system, in compliance with standard IEC 60601-2-52. The siderails are lowered using a gas spring to soften the effect of the siderail’s movement.
- With its wedge design, the backrest section siderails become a reliable tool for a safe mobilisation of the patient.
- Visual backrest position indicators on the siderails.
- Easily removable headboard with quick release system.
- Mechanical CPR handle on both sides of the bed.
- Bed protected against infection, thanks to its steel structure with antimicrobial paint coating tested in accordance with ISO 22196:201.
- Fully electric articulated bed with IPX6 protection against penetration of liquids.
- Independent HPL bed base sections, easily removable without tools, for easy cleaning and maintenance of the bed. Additional protection of easy-to-disinfect sanitary plastic in the central section.
Easy Manoeuvrability
- 150 mm servo-steered castors with central braking system, easily accessible even from the sides
- Bumpers located at the four corners as shock protection.
Care & Comfort
- Patient and medical staff operation control with function-locking key to activate and cancel the different functions and Trend / Antitrend positions.
- The self-regression (10 cm) of the backrest promotes abdominal decompression.
Ergonomic design
- Radiolucent backrest, including guides for attaching an X-ray cassette.
- 4 accessory holders located at the bed corners to easily fasten accessories.
- Bilateral drainage bag supports with DIN hooks on each one for placing drains, diuresis and nasogastric bags.
- Double-sided guides allow fixing different accessories that ease both examination and delivery tasks.
Ergonomic design
- 9 cm base made of 30 kg/m3 high density fireproof foam.
- 5 cm upper layer made of ThermoFoam viscoelastic, density 50 kg/m3, with great adaptability.
- Fireproof core in compliance with the UNE EN 597-1, EN 597-2 and BS 5852:2 CRIB5 standards.
- 100% bi-elastic, fireproof, latex-free, cover made of polyurethane and polyester
- Waterproof, breathable, antibacterial and antifungal. Fireproof in compliance with the BS 7175 CRIB5, UNE EN 597-1 y EN 597-2 y M1 standards.
