Alzheimer 19/75

Ergonomics and design for highly dependent users.

The 19/75 nursing care bed created for Alzheimer’s patients is designed focusing on safety and adaptability to the user’s autonomy degree. With four different height levels, this bed is specifically suited to assist the user during the different stages of dementia, providing a lifting range from 19 cm to 75 cm. This careful design ensures the bed to be adjusted to deliver optimum comfort and safety as the user’s condition progresses.

In addition, the bed focuses on the removal of physical restraints, including all the features that a nursing bed should offer. The benefits of such a bed for people with dementia include increased autonomy, reduced risk of falls and related injuries, and an overall improvement in their quality of life. Simple and easy to operate, the bed allows both ease of daily care routine for the nursing staff and comfort for the patient. Multiple height levels and an ergonomic design make this bed a comprehensive solution for nursing people with advanced dementia.

Features

Wellness & Prevention

  • Care, mobilisation, safe rest and prevention, thanks to the four automatic stops offered by the lifting motors. The wide elevation range makes it the best choice for people with dementia from early stages.
  • In its 19 cm lower position, it helps to minimise damage associated with falls from the bed; and when physical deterioration forces the user to be assisted in bed, its maximum height of 72.5 cm makes it easier for the care staff to attend to him from the bed, avoiding bad postures.
  • The automatic double intermediate stop on the descent of 25 cm and 42 cm, allows a safe rest for active users and an increase in comfort when transferring the user, respectively.
  • It has automatic therapeutic functions of Cardiac Chair, Trend/Antitrend and CPR, easy to operate through a button, providing features close to those of a hospital bed.
  • Combined autoregression of the thorax and thigh sections (12 cm) releases pressure in the abdominal and sacral areas respectively; action that prevents the formation of pressure ulcers in bedridden users.
  • The lower section of the limbs can be adjusted independently in six positions, through a manual rastomat system. This function is intended to facilitate return circulation, making it a particularly useful position for long-stay users or those with vascular problems.

Design and Ergonomics

  • Tool-free removable beds, made of flame-retardant, water-repellent, antifungal and highly resistant HPL.
  • Fully electric articulated bed, equipped with a double compass lifting system and linear actuators (IP66 protection level.

  • Accessory holders on the headboard of the bed.
  • The Alzheimer 19/75 bed complies with the UNE-EN 60601-2-52:2010 standard.

Everyday safety

  • The bed has a manual emergency system for lowering the thorax section in the event of an electrical failure, to promote the cardiopulmonary recovery of a user.
  • Metal rails easily removable without tools, located on both sides of the bed.
  • Railings with automatic locking system when they are up, preventing them from being lowered involuntarily; and with a manual trigger release system to lower them.
  • The railings comply with anti-entrapment systems, according to IEC 60601-2-52 standard.

Control and Usability

  • Remote control with function lock system, intended for both bedridden users and healthcare personnel.
  • Running gear formed by four double adjustable wheels with 360º rotation on the foot and two fixed wheels on the headboard that provide directionality and stability.
