TrendLow

A nursing bed designed for highly dependent users.

The Trend Low bed is a care bed system specifically designed for Alzheimer’s patients, which delivers comprehensive care adapted to their needs. This bed includes four different levels, three of them with electric articulation and elevation, allowing the user’s position to be adjusted easily and accurately. In addition, its Trendelenburg and Anti-trendelenburg movements provide extra flexibility, easing the user’s care and recovery.

The Trend Low bed stands out for an innovative design that includes concealed lifting systems in both the headboard footboard, creating free space under the bed base. This functionality improves accessibility and movement around the bed and provides a neat, modern aesthetic appearance.

Designed both for home use and for nursing home environments, the Trend Low bed suits different needs, providing optimal and tailored care.

Features

Well-being & Prevention

  • Care, mobilisation, safe sleep and prevention, along with its wide elevation range, make this bed the best choice for dementia patients from the very early stages of the disease.
  • At its lowest position 21 cm, the bed helps minimise injuries related to falling from bed. When the user’s physical impairment turns bed assistance into a must, this bed can reach a maximum height of 66 cm, which is perfect for avoiding wrong postures of the medical and nursing staff.
  • Automatic therapeutic functions, Cardiac Chair, Trend/Anti-trend and CPR, easy to operate at the push of a button, provide hospital bed-like performance.
  • The Cardiac Chair position allows for regression of the thoracic section, increasing significantly the user’s comfort and minimising the pressure in the abdominal area.

Ergonomics & Design

  • 22 wooden slats, grouped in pairs by means of elastic suspensions, provide improved adaptability to the body shape and help distribute the weight evenly. This helps to reduce pressure points on the mattress and therefore on the sleeper’s body, which can lessen the risk of developing pain or discomfort related to poor posture during sleep.
  • Headboard and footboard design in a solid beech wood frame with a double central panel in beech melamine. The design covers the bed’s lifting columns, offering an obstacle-free space underneath the bed.
  • Fully electric articulated bed, equipped with a columns lifting system and a compact actuator (IPX4 protection class).
  • Steel frame with antimicrobial paint coating, tested according to ISO 22196:2011, protects the bed against infection.
  • Mattress retainer in the lower limb section to prevent unintentional movement of the mattress when the bed base is hinged.
  • The TrendLow bed complies with the UNE-EN 60601-2-52:2010 standard.

Day-to-day safety

  • Metal siderails, easily removable with tools, are located on both sides of the bed.
  • When in the raised position, an automatic locking system prevents unintentional lowering of the side rails. In addition, they are fitted with a manual trigger release system to lower them.
  • The siderails comply with the anti-trapping systems standard according to IEC 60601-2-52.

Control & Usability

  • Small wired control fitted with a function blocking system, intended for both bedridden users and nursing staff.
  • Four double Ø75 mm metal swivel castors, are equipped with individual brakes, allowing full locking and free movement activation of them.
  • Total length with headboard & footboard: 212 cm ± 1 cm
  • Total width with siderails: 102 cm
